Letter from our Co-Founders
Dear Urban Ashram Yoga Members,
We would like to thank you for all your trust and support as we usher in Urban Ashram’s 7th year this September 2017. We hope that with the practice of Yoga, your lives have become better and richer, and more open to moments of joy. We are committed to keeping Urban Ashram sustainable, progressive, and relevant for as long as our members need and love good Yoga.
As part of our commitment and in keeping with the principles of the Yoga that we teach, we are undertaking a few changes that we believe will raise the environmental and economical sustainability of the studio.
On September 2017, Urban Ashram Yoga will reopen its BGC studio at the newly built Menarco Tower, the Philippines’ first WELL- and LEED Gold-certified building. Located on 32nd Street, Menarco Tower is an easy 10-minute walk from our Active Fun studio.
The new studio spaces in Menarco will circulate pure and pre-filtered air, and classes will be held in expansive 2.8-meter-high spaces offering natural sunlight and glorious city views from double-glazed windows that minimize heat. Other upgrades include digital lockers and water-efficient showers, as well as healthy food options at Menarco’s Food Hall and parking and showering facilities for the bike-riding public.
While we were looking forward to beginning operations at Menarco Tower as early as July 2017, which is when our lease at Active Fun expires, construction delays have arisen and this necessitates a transition period for our members.
In order to provide continuous service during this period, we have made temporary arrangements that we believe meet the high standards that you have come to expect from us. From July 10 to September 10, 2017, regular classes will be held at the Penthouse Suite of Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila (5th Avenue corner 28th Street) for all BGC members. The Penthouse at Ascott is also an easy 10-minute walk from Active Fun and was chosen for its proximity and its high standards of quality. Our final day at Active Fun will be on July 10, Monday and members can begin practicing at Ascott on the same day.
We hope for your continued support and understanding during this important stage of Urban Ashram’s evolution. Allow us to reassure you that our first concern is always the welfare of our members and the continuing development of your Yoga practice.
If you have any concerns or questions about the temporary space at Ascott or the forthcoming new studio at Menarco, do not hesitate to contact Tet Bachmann, our General Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org or any of our Studio Assistant Managers.
With all our gratitude,
MARICAR HOLOPAINEN MARC MACADAEG
