She has taught hundreds of people how to develop a daily meditation practice, her teaching and technique are simple and straightforward, Claire strips away the mystique from meditation and makes it a practical and achievable daily tool. Her influences and teachers include Dr. Graham Mead, Dr. Gabor Mate, Eckhart Tolle, The Broad Place, Light Watkins, Michael Brown’s The Presence Process, Ram Dass…to name a but a few.
About the Program
For over a decade Claire has been fascinated with our culture’s obsession and compulsion to drink—this began when she herself realized that alcohol had become a problem for her.
Over that time, with the help of therapists, teachers, yoga and most importantly a commitment to a daily meditation practice, she shifted her drinking habits until alcohol was no longer a part of her life.
Over the course of the 12-weeks we will explore your relationship with alcohol. We look into triggers, programming, and the influence of peers and society on your drinking.
You will learn techniques and healthy coping mechanisms as well as develop a deep understanding of how meditation practices can dissolve the desire to drink over time.
This program can be completed in-person or via Zoom.
Why 90 days?
The first 30 days we’re setting ourselves up for success, learning new coping mechanisms and understanding our triggers. The next 30 are crucial—this is the time we really see our unhelpful conditioning at work. In the last 30 you will start to experience tangible differences in how you feel mentally and physically. Your liver is healing, your digestion works better, you’ll be sleeping differently too. It’s as though a cloud lifts.

What You Will Need
You will need to commit to a minimum of 12 sessions over approximately three months. You will have to Claire’s continued support throughout this process.
You will be taught Awareness-based Meditation, have homework, writing activities and course reading to complete. It’s recommended that for the first week, you commit to two sessions in one week. After that, one per week. Open communication during this process is crucial.
At the end of the session, you will:
Deepen your self-connection, self-compassion and acceptance
Understand why we drink and why it gets such a foothold
Learn practical and achievable coping strategies
Develop a daily meditation practice and knowledge of how meditation can shift habits
Become part of a meditation and mindful drinking community
